FE-9 | Width Gauge
The FE-9 Measuring bar is a non contact width measuring system for blown film lines.
Two infrared TOF (Time of Flight) sensors detect the edges of the film. The TOF method allows a much more precise measurement on films with curled edges. The detected edges are used to calculate the width of the film. Since the measuring bar is located after the nips, it reads the film width after the bubble shrinkage, that makes the FE-9 a valuable tool on lines with our without IBC.
The Powerbox is the interface to either the CUFE-9 display unit or the control system of the line.

CUFE-9 | Display Unit for Width Gauge
The CUFE-9 Display Unit is a visualisation which can be used with any existing Width Gauge from Kündig Control Systems.
Actual width, target width and trends are shown on a compact, capacitive touchscreen panel. In addition to that, the CUFE-9 offers a wide range of digital and analog inputs and outputs, which can easily be configured individually.
The Display Unit can be integrated into the Profilstar.Net, to show both thickness gauge and width data on the same screen.
Application: The CUFE-9 Display Unit is the perfect addition to the FE-8 Width Gauge to visualize measuring data.
S-100 Twin | Width Gauge
The S-100 Twin, typically used as an online thickness gauge for barrier film lines, also measures layflat size and web position. It can be connected to the FE-8 control unit just like a regular measuring bar.
Application: The S-100 Twin can be used as an online thickness gauge and a measuring bar at the same time.
